What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first appointment at Hamilton Care Dental Centre usually takes 60 to 90 minutes, which gives us time to understand your oral health without rushing. Here is what a typical first visit includes:

A review of your dental and medical history

A comprehensive exam, including oral cancer and TMJ screening

Low-radiation digital X-rays if needed

Gum charting to catch early signs of gum disease

A professional cleaning when time allows

A clear discussion of findings with a written estimate

By the end of your visit, you will understand your options clearly and know exactly what any recommended treatment would involve, along with a written estimate of the cost.

Simple Insurance, CDCP, and Financing

Managing the cost of care should never stand between you and a healthy smile. We offer direct billing to most Canadian insurance plans, so you only pay your portion at the appointment, and we are a proud provider of the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Our partner Beautifi offers financing options, including 0% for qualifying patients, to help with treatment that is not covered by insurance. Our front office staff is always ready to help if you need no-cost estimates or have any questions about your billing.

Comfortable, Technology-Driven Care

We want your visits to be seamless and easy from start to finish. With the use of modern tools such as the PrimeScan intraoral scanner, messy moulds can be replaced and CEREC same-day crown technology can reduce appointment numbers for certain treatments.

If you feel nervous about dental treatment, please tell us when you book. Options such as nitrous oxide sedation and the QuickSleeper anesthesia system help many patients feel calm and comfortable throughout their care.
