Your dental benefits reset every year
Most Canadian private dental plans reset their annual maximum on January 1. Any unused benefits from the previous year are gone, they don't roll over. The patients who get the most value from their plan are the ones who book early in the year.
Why booking in Q1 is smart
Early in the year, your full annual maximum is available. If you need restorative work, splitting it across two calendar years can let you use the maximum twice, once in December, again in January, covering a larger portion of treatment.
What if treatment costs more than my insurance covers?
